General

i have just put in my papers and my boss is kind of irritated about it. actually he did not expect 'This kind of action" from me. Should i be apologetic about it? Should i ignore it? I wonder, its not like its the end of the world, but yes, he will have to look for someone to replace me (which according to me is impossible- cos you can never find another person like me no matter how hard you look).
neways, that apart, i am just wondering if it is alright for your boss to throw tantrums and make life a little difficult for you?

Is it all that bad that someone else thot your talent is worth a lot more than your current company and that may be a reason you are leaving. is your superior's sulk/pout and irritation then valid??

or that you have a personal commitment/situation which is forcing you to leave, so it is quite sudden not just for you but also for your company. in such a situation then, is it ok for your boss to look at you and sulk? or even blame you for anything??

if i were in such a situation in a company then i would be happy for the individual, cos the most important thing in life is change and growth. everyone of us aspires to grow and change and become someone bigger and better than what we are. as we live, we learn new things, and most often our market value also increases with each passing day. the company you are working in may not think so, but there are others who respect such growth and change as long as it suits their requirement. they will go to any extent to get such 'talent' into their company. but the worst kind of loop is yet to happen. because the very same company that was on the lookout for special 'talent' will later also look at you with a pout if you find a better option for yourself. your exit interview will normally promise you a lot of perks and presents that may or may not happen, but i feel that once a person has decided to move on, they should be sent away with nice memories. cos tomorrow its these very same "ex"-colleagues that advertise for your company by word of mouth. this sounds damn good and like utopia doesn't it, its not my words of wisdom, its just that i read this paper on some HR Policies that was really so good it got me thinking and i have now decided that if someone at some point in time wants to quit from working with me, then i will ensure that such a person has a nice time and moves on happily that with a frown.

I initially thot that i would post a comment that would be an update of either thots or of the conclusion o the same... but, now that i have started writing all i can say is that i don't really feel like posting a comment on something as serious as HR policies.

But i dont want my blog to be trivial either. I would like it to be a little serious, and a little funny. I would like people to think about "stuff" and say 'Hey now, why didn't I think abt that??' or 'I never saw it that way...'

All of us like to be taken seriously. We like the attention that is focused on us when we talk, in fact, most often we go to the extent of making ourselves the "Center of attention". Show me one person that does not like being the center of a conversation and I will show you how even the mere fact of standing up alone for not wanting to be the center of attention makes you the center of attention. Ironic isn't it!? Well, that's humans for you. We all in our own respective/ crooked/ perverse way attract attention to ourselves. Because we like to get "credit". There are a lot of thots racing around my head at this point in time and I would like to sit and mull over them now so I will be in a better position to put them down in a coherent manner tomorrow.

However, if you think you have your thots in order and want to tell me abt them feel free to post.
Cheers :)
